a good victorian stay

the hotel sits near sightseeing destinations. rooms include crisp linens and welcome hampers filled with local produce. the bed was extraordinarily comfortable, i savored a thoughtfully delivered breakfast hamper (it was such a treat!). the staff was warm and professional and always ensured i had everything i needed.
I noticed a small issue with the bathroom mirror. It had a minor scratch on its surface, though it didn't affect functionality.

The pub and restaurant offers a variety of different meals plus daily specials. I found everything very tasty. a breakfast box is provided the night before. This allows guests to breakfast at their own leisure without time constraints.

Rooms were beautifully appointed with high ceilings and considered decor elements. large, comfortable beds are featured. I liked the modern showers. welcome drinks, water, and fresh milk were in the fridge to enjoy.

The Airth room offered a nice view from the window. The bathroom was huge and had fantastic hand wash and everything I could need. Welcome drinks, water, and fresh milk were in the fridge and tea cakes and fudge were a treat.
The air conditioning was not adjustable, and there was no instruction manual (it was very cold). There was an absence of welcome. The breakfast in a paper bag outside the door was unbelievable for the price of the room.

what a fabulous getaway!

the room i had was beautifully decorated and super clean i just loved everything about it! the bar area felt really special. i definitely savored a drink at the bar!
i wished the minibar had a slightly wider selection, though that's a tiny thing.

The beautiful double room featured great decor and cleanliness. It was really good! the bathroom was superb, and the bed was seriously comfortable, i really could not have asked for more from it!

the location was pretty convenient! it was perfect for attending a wedding at the nearby university campus, easy to reach! the views outside were completely fine, what a great location!

I found free drinks for each person as part of the amenities, so good! coffee and tea options were plentiful, so it was really easy to relax and unwind in the comfort of my room. A bonus!

i enjoyed having access to a restaurant on the premises! the breakfast hamper was such a lovely surprise and such a delight, it really made mornings easy! i enjoyed cocktails the night before leaving!

I really appreciated the extra touches such as the fresh pastries and fruit provided upon arrival. the coffee machine and wide selection of teas were also a definite plus. the room was both spacious and clean. That gave me a positive impression!
The air conditioning in my room could not be adjusted, quite cold. there were no instructions available, challenging to resolve. It was a bit unhandy.

The staff were attentive. They were also efficient throughout my entire stay. i found their service to be prompt and helpful, which greatly enhanced my experience. it was nice!
